Today we find a wide variety of food trucks that travel the national scene offering different products, with different themes and in different transports.

The peculiarity of these food trucks and their attractiveness compared to a restaurant is their easy access and as we have mentioned, each one with a unique essence.

This business model welcomes chefs who are not linked to restaurants and who saw a business opportunity in this new model recently established in Spain.

Some of the most characteristic food trucks are:

 

- La creperie school bus

A flagship food truck on the national scene for its peculiarity of being based in the typical yellow school bus, owned by a Catalan who comes from a nomadic life in Germany for almost 10 years.

This food truck has been present at events such as Resurrection Fest, BBK Live or Azkena.

 

- The revenge of Malinche

This food truck is a GMC truck from the 40's that provides its services for events upon request.

The owner's origin is Mexican and therefore, they offer a fusion food between Mexican, American and Spanish, offering tacos, burritos, enchiladas...

 

- La Manoleta

It is an Asturian company that sells gourmet products such as roast pork, although it offers much more attractive specialties such as cachopos, tapas and brioches. Their services can be rented in different formats: silver caravan, motorcycle or bicycle cart, the particularities of each event, access, location, menu chosen aesthetic affinity with the environment.

 

- Rufina and daughters

This food truck offering traditional food in a vintage van, citroen HY, makes for an enhanced experience that reminds you of traditional Spanish wineries.

It offers food such as preserves, Espinaler vermouth and Rubios legs.

 

- Deligotessen

In contrast to the previous food truck, this one offers Indian, Latin American, Vietnamese, Greek and Italian type food, also including desserts and craft beers.

 

- GoXismo

Madrid's only three-star chef, Dabiz Muñoz, has launched a food truck following the essence of his other restaurants such as DiverXo and Goxo.

After the success of his first food truck he created 2 more, one specialized in red burgers and another black one for desserts and cocktails, all the food trucks are gourmet products, offering double cheeseburger with Gouda cheese, creamy Yakisoba noodles with world peppers, black truffle sauce and a set of products of the world that combined offer a unique experience for the originality of them.

 

- Komotoloko

The location of this food truck is located in a garage on a road leading to Palafrugell.

Komotoloko specializes in Asian food, specifically Japanese, offering Kobe beef, scallops with foie and crab.

 

 

It is a fact that food trucks have a unique personality according to the type of food and owner, the locations where they work is very different from cities, permanent locations or festivals, on their own or on request.

It is a business that is constantly growing and over time we will see if it is a trend or a business model that is here to stay.
